This week’s Round Table discussion was inspired by Alli’s recent rewatch of the 2001 J.J. Abrams series Alias. There’s no doubt it was both progressive and ahead of its time in terms of its portrayal of Sidney, a quote-unquote strong female character more than capable of standing on her own two feet. But how far have we come since then? Would Alias still be ahead of its time today? Have we made progress in the portrayal of women in TV and film, or have we regressed? That discussion, plus listener feedback, in this week’s round table!
